Department of Vet. Anatomy And Physiology

Egerton University students make a 3 day visit to the Department of Vet. Anatomy & Physiology for practical sessions in Electrocardiography, Blood pressure measurements, Effect of neurotransmitters on cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle, smooth muscle, spirometry and measurements of metabolic rate (Indirect calorimetry) Heart sounds/effects of exercise on heart rate (Harvard step test) among others. This is part of consultancy program in the Department that trains practical applications of some of the above mentioned subjects.
